About Mitch Vap
With 16 years of litigation experience, I bring a uniquely balanced perspective to every mediation. My career has been evenly divided between defense and plaintiff work — I spent the first half representing insureds as defense counsel and insurers in coverage matters, and the second half focusing on plaintiff representation in personal injury, construction, and insurance coverage cases.
I have tried multiple cases to verdict and handled appeals across a wide range of legal issues. That breadth of experience — seeing disputes from both sides of the 'v.' — is what makes me an effective settlement master.
Preparation is paramount. There is nothing worse than a settlement master who does not fully understand the facts and issues before you. I know the amount of work it takes to effectively advocate for clients. You have my commitment to being fully prepared for your mediation. No two cases are exactly the same — expect me to prepare for your case, not one tried 10 years ago. Preparation translates to efficiency and results.
Mediation Services
Our firm is currently offering mediation services. We have two dedicated private conference rooms at our office. I am willing to travel anywhere in Western Montana. We are also able to offer virtual services.
Fees: $250/hour for preparation and attending as settlement master; ½ rate for travel time, plus necessary travel expenses.
